Anchor of Truth

Today I was listening to Rupert Spira and Bernardo Kastrup chat about reality for a couple of hours while basking in the afternoon sun. It was perfect since I was too hungover today to do anything else.

At approximately the 1 hour and 55 minute mark, Rupert said something that caught my attention and his truth arrow pierced deep.

Rupert said something like this: "We never have the experience a being a person"

What?

Rupert then told his listener to go to the experience of themselves. Of course I went along for the ride. When we go to the experience of ourselves, we immediately go to the experience of Consciousness. We always only ever experience ourselves. This makes sense. In other words, we only experience Being / Consciousness. I know that he is right because I confirmed it experientially!

This is extremely interesting because (trust me), truth seekers imagine something very different. We imagine that we are experiencing the person most of the time with periodic glimpses into our true nature. Not true.

Although we imagine ourselves to be a person, we never actually experience being a person. Wow! That's a surprise! Holy interesting Batman!

This feels like an anchor. The anchor is experiential and is always quickly available to confirm at any time in the future. We just need to understand that it's undeniably true, and it's significance. Again, the truth is so simple!!

This will either hit, or it won't. You might first need to do some work. I don't know. I only know that it hit me. My seeking is done, but it feels like Rupert created a new super freeway to understanding that is always immediately available whenever needed. It can serve as a lifeline that is always available if we start suffering as a result of believing to be a person with a past and a future. (Actually, believing to be a person with a past and a future is the only way phycological suffering can occur).

I understand that (perhaps) not everyone needs a lifeline like this to be happy. I only know that I did. Only the absolute truth could have freed me from my misery. So of course I am enthusiastic about the truth. The truth is a paradigm shift in reality. As such, everything is always ok. In wisdom, everything is understood to be divine.

While I usually enjoy making meals out of crumbs (inspired by my love of the truth). Today I don't want to ramble. Today, shorter is better, or else the mucky hands of my mind will surely spoil it.

As Francis Lucille might say, "not all Yogas need to be long. The shorter the better"

Or as Paul Hederman might say, "if the shoe doesn't fit, go to another store"
