The body is like a microphone

If we choose, we can think about the body in the same way that a person thinks about a microphone or a camera.
The microphone/camera is a really good metaphor for the body.
Why? The body and the microphone are made of the same stuff. The body and the microphone is at the same level of reality. And it serves a similar purpose. We experience sounds through a microphone and we experience images through a camera in the same way that we experience the world through the body
While the camera and the body are on the same level of reality.....Consciousness is a much higher level of reality (which is most important).
The human body is obviously sentient, as are dogs. Perhaps we can create a sentient being the same way that we can create a camera? It is incredible to imagine but it seems to follow that it is possible. Perhaps microphones and cars have a level of sentience we can't detect? I don't know, but there is scientific data that supports this theory. Either way, I understand that we can't create Consciousness. There is a big difference between the objects of perception and the reality that perceives the objects.
The other really cool thing about the camera metaphor is the understanding that nothing that is being perceived can tell us anything about the perceiver.
My understanding is that the word person has it's origin from two Latin words. 'Per' comes from persona which means the actor's mask. 'Son' comes from the Greek word sonus which means sound.
The word person can be translated into 'the sound coming from the mask.' This definition is consistent with my deepest understanding of the truth.
